Bernard Zeitler was a compulsive gambler. He has been in recovery since November 21, 2007. His chosen form of gambling was lottery tickets, which are sold at many retailers. Until March 15, 2011, he sold lottery tickets as a part of his job at a convenience store. Bernard Zeitler was a compulsive gambler. He has been in recovery since November 21, 2007. His chosen form of gambling was lottery tickets, which are sold at many retailers. At the end of October 2007, he was on the verge of losing his job and spent time in an adult Psych. unit for suicidal depression as a result of his addiction. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology which was received in 1991 and has worked in various areas of the mental health field. He spends time studying fundamentals of recovery. It is his hope and dream to create a program for compulsive gamblers that works with the whole family and has some form of housing for the compulsive gambler while starting their recovery.
