BARBARA LAU has spent most of her life in San Antonio and Austin, Texas, where she worked as a magazine writer and publications director. She now teaches English and creative writing at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. She holds an MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson and an MA in English from the University of Illinois.
