Arezou Azad

Dr Azad is Programme Director and Senior Research Fellow, Invisible East programme, University of Oxford. Her published books include Sacred Landscape in Medieval Afghanistan: Revisiting the Fa il-i Balkh (OUP, 2013) and, with Edmund Herzig and Ali Mir-Ansari, Fa il-i Balkh: Annotated translation with commentary and introduction of the oldest surviving history of Balkh in Afghanistan (Gibb Memorial Trust, 2021).
