Apolo Anton Ohno

Ohno was raised by his father in Seattle. In 1996, 14 year old Ohno claimed his first U.S. overall title, and in 1999 won his first overall victory at a World Cup event. He went on to win the gold medal in 2002 Winter Olympics in the 1,500 meter short track speed skating event, and the silver medal in the 1,000 meter short track event.
