Andrew Burke is an Australian poet who started out in the mid-sixties as a 'beat' poet in response to Kerouac, Ginsberg, Ferlinghetti, et al. Since then he has dabbled in a million styles, and written in many genre - short stories, plays, songs, literary journalism and criticism, etc. To this day he believes you can write poetry in all genre, not just verse.
