Andrés Roemer (citizen of the world), PhD. in Public Policy from the University of UC Berkeley with academic distinction and Master in Public Administration from Harvard University with academic distinction, economist from ITAM (summa laude) and lawyer from UNAM (summa laude), free thinker, fervent defender of human rights and the presumption of innocence. Defined by the San Francisco Chronicle as an "exceptional figure who deserves to be called a Renaissance man." Author of more than 21 books on topics as diverse as football, water, crime, sexuality, art, Einstein, ethology, sociobiology, evolutionary psychology, social mobility, genetics, law and economics. Author of three plays, a book of poetry and the Game of Negotiation. He has been deserving, among other international distinctions, the Don K. Price Award for academic merit at the Harvard University School of Government; the Elise and Walter A. Hass Award from the University of California, Berkeley; the Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award for The United Nations Watch; Knight of Rhodes, Official Cross of Austria, of the National Awards of Journalism and Dramaturgy in Mexico and of recognition for Scientific Dissemination and Cultural by the Academic of Sciences and by the Mexican Institute of Sciences and Humanities. Fulbright, Ford, Harvard, ITAM, SEP and CONACYT scholar. He served as Undersecretary of Art and Culture in Mexico, as Consul General of Mexico in San Francisco, as Ambassador of Mexico to UNESCO and as Goodwill Ambassador for the same institution. He has made more than a thousand television programs on critical thinking and co-creator of fifteen international festivals on the subject (La Ciudad de las Ideas), including the G-20 in Cabo San Lucas. Co-founder of the Vienna Music House in Puebla. Dr. Roemer has been denounced as a spy, corrupt and sexually abuser, among many other fallacies, and has been branded a "rodent." Currently, there are several criminal cases open against him in Mexico, however the process has been plagued by set-up, corruption and irregularities. He has been denied the right to present evidence in his favour, to know the alleged evidence against him and to have a proper defence, so he is currently in Israel, fleeing the injustice of his country and speaking out against the contemporary plague of false accusations, violation of the presumption of innocence and perverse cancellation policies.
