Andreas Akerlund

Andreas Åkerlund (b. 1977) is Associate Professor of History at Uppsala University, Sweden. His thesis (2010) was a study of Swedish lecturers at German universities in 1906-1945, and he has published extensively on Swedish-German academic contacts under the Nazis, the history of national images and language teaching, and, more recently, Swedish public diplomacy and academic scholarships and exchanges. Public Diplomacy and Academic Mobility in Sweden is his second book.
