The Author: Born and raised in Germany, Andrea Dortmann studied German Literature, Comparative Literature and Romance Languages and Literatures at the Friedrich-Wilhelms Universit�t, Bonn. She completed her M.A. in Comparative and French Literature at the Freie Universit�t, Berlin, and her Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Literatures at New York University.
