Amy Von Lintel Professor of Art History and Director of Gender Studies at West Texas A&M University. Amy Von Lintel Professor of Art History and Director of Gender Studies at West Texas A&M University. Her areas of research include modern and contemporary art of the American West, women and gender, fakes and forgeries in art, and the development of art history. Her publications include Three Women Artists: Expanding Abstract Expressionism in the American West , two books on Georgia O'Keeffe in Texas, and a co-authored book on Robert Smithson in Texas, along with numerous journal articles on her various research topics. Born and raised in the Midwest (in Kansas City), she now lives in Amarillo, Texas, with her brewer-meteorologist husband and their three children adopted out of the Texas foster system, along with her two dogs and two cats.
