Amanda L. Paule-Koba is an Associate Professor of Sport Management at Bowling Green State University, where she teaches Sport and Event Management, Sport and Gender, Contemporary Issues, and Sport in Higher Education. Dr. Paule-Koba has been an active scholar, examining issues in intercollegiate sport (such as the recruitment process, academic clustering, and athlete development), gender equity policies, and Title IX. Dr. Paule-Koba has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Sport Management, International Journal of Sport Management, Sport Management Review, Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, Journal of Intercollegiate Sport, Journal of Issues in Intercollegiate Athletics, and Women in Sport and Physical Activity Journal. She is also the cofounder and coeditor of the Journal of Athlete Development and Experience.Dr. Paule-Koba earned her PhD in sport sociology from Michigan State University in 2008. She holds a master's degree in sport studies and a bachelor's degree in sport organization from Miami University. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Paule-Koba worked for a company that ran professional athletes' summer youth sporting camps all over the United States, which is where she gained her real-life experience in event management.
