Amal Mahmoud , PhD, is a Professor of Bioinformatics, Head of the Department of Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Research Institute (GEBRI), University of Sadat City, Egypt, previously worked as a Professor of Bioinformatics, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia (2017-2022). She teaches undergraduate and graduate bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biology, gene regulation and virology as well as supervises research students.
