Allen Sapp

Allen Sapp is a Canadian Cree painter whose artwork tells a personal story. In 1986, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada "for his portrayals of native peoples and of live on the reserve." He won the Governor General's Award for Illustration for The Song Within My Heart when it was first published in 2003. He lives in Saskatchewan.
