Allan R Millett

Allan R. Millett has written ten books and, since 1966, has taught military history at three U.S. universities. He is now the senior military advisor at the National World War II Museum. He was a Marine Corps infantry officer from 1959 to 1990 and retired as a colonel. From 1965 through 2005, as a professor at The Ohio State University, he directed seventy dissertations to completion, and more than half became books. Millett lives in New Orleans.
