Alice Shalvi
Alice Shalvi, born in Germany and educated in England, has lived in Jerusalem since 1949. She taught English literature at the Hebrew University for forty years; directed Pelech, an experimentalhigh school for religious girls; and is the founding chairwoman of the Israel Women's Network. She and her husband have three sons, three daughters, and numerous grandchildren.
