Alexander F Skutch
After completing his Ph.D. in botany in 1928, Alexander F. Skutch went on to Central and South America to study birds and other aspects of the region's natural history. He is the author of over 30 books and is best known to bird watchers as the author of one of the first field guides to tropical birds.
