Alex K. Williamson, MD is board-certified in and practices autopsy, forensic and pediatric pathology. Alex K. Williamson, MD is board-certified in and practices autopsy, forensic and pediatric pathology. As an Associate Professor of Pathology at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell he teaches medical students, trainees and professionals and he gives invited lectures at the local, regional and national levels. He is an advocate for competence in autopsy performance and reporting, and he works to improve death certification at all levels of government. His research interests include the health risks and consequences of modern slavery, the development and implementation of an integrated forensic response for victims of trafficking and slavery, and the history of medicine, pathology and surgery during the American Civil War.
