Alanna Kaufman (New York, NY) is originally from Bethesda, MD. Alex Small (New York, NY) grew up in Easton, CT, where he began experimenting in the kitchen at an early age. He met Alanna at the University of Pennsylvania in 2005, while serving as a senior photography editor at the Daily Pennsylvanian.
