Alan Kelly
Alan Kelly only started writing 5 years ago, after joining Des Dillon's writer's group. Raised in Coatbridge, Alan worked for twenty years for North Lanarkshire Council's Roads Department, picking litter, sweeping roads, eventually promoted to tar shovelling, tar raking, tar chipping and tar rolling in a 'Tar Squad'. Now working as a school janitor, Alan has re-married his first wife after successfully battling his alcoholism -- he has been "dry" for over eleven years.
