He has written successful biographies of some of rock's behemoths, such as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, as well as classical compose Edgar Varese and also Jacques Brel. He also writes on music for the national press (particularly obituaries) and the major music magazines. His own band is the awesome Clayson and the Argonauts, which has been a part of his life since the 1970s.
