ADAM FERGUSON achieved a Bachelor of Photography at Australia's Queensland College of Art, Griffith University and it was there that he developed an interest in visual storytelling. ADAM FERGUSON achieved a Bachelor of Photography at Australia's Queensland College of Art, Griffith University and it was there that he developed an interest in visual storytelling. After graduating, Adam worked as a deckhand, sailing through the Caribbean, Central America and the Mediterranean to fund the beginning of his photographic career. In 2006 he moved to Paris to intern with VII Photo Agency. From 2007 to 2011, Adam lived in New Delhi, India, where he photographed social tensions within the world's largest democracy. He travelled to Pakistan to capture the country grappling with poverty and political insecurity and he embarked on his most in-depth photographic project: an exploration into the corners of the U.S.-led military occupation of Afghanistan. He has received numerous honors for his work, including awards from World Press Photo and Pictures of the Year International, and he is a regular contributor to Time Magazine, National Geographic and The New York Times. Ferguson was a member of the VII Photo Agency from 2008 to 2014 before choosing to work independently.
