Adair Butchins
Butchins is a former Merchant Navy Officer and Bomber Command Navigator. He obtained a D.Phil. in astrophysics from Oxford University before working at the University of London Observatory at Mill Hill, where he wrote the software for the Tycho project carried on the Hipparchos satellite of the European Space Agency.
