Dr. A.P. Garbin was a Professor of Sociology at four different universities for approximately 50 years, including at the University of Georgia for 40 years, until his recent retirement. While a professor, he published five monographs, nine chapters in books, and about 30 journal articles. Dr. A.P. Garbin was a Professor of Sociology at four different universities for approximately 50 years, including at the University of Georgia for 40 years, until his recent retirement. While a professor, he published five monographs, nine chapters in books, and about 30 journal articles. Garbin's many honors and awards included the Meritorious Service Award and the Certificate of Merit awarded by the Georgia Sociological Association. Since his retirement, the Professor Emeritus enjoys traveling and following one of his favorite pastimes of more than four decades - the Georgia Bulldogs football program. See less
