that it has welcomed three sought-after executives to its management team
in order to help the company to expand into international used book
markets and to grow via corporate development.
After conducting an aggressive search, Alibris has hired three respected
professionals who are ideally suited to further the online bookseller
’s remarkable growth. Each new management appointment aids the
company’s aggressive plans to expand internationally, beginning with
the United Kingdom used book market. The new executives also open the way
for Alibris to pursue mergers and acquisitions that will complement its
hard-to-find books, movies, and music business.

Jeanie Bunker Welcomed as Vice President, Sales and
Marketing
Jeanie Bunker is responsible for leading the sales and marketing teams
at Alibris, and is orchestrating the company’s international
expansion. She has 14 years of experience in consumer and business segment
marketing in Internet and financial services companies. Prior to joining
Alibris, Jeanie served as the vice president of global direct marketing at
Yahoo!. She also drove marketing efforts as a vice president at both E*TRADE
Financial and Bank of America.
Manjari C. Bhatia Positioned as Director of Corporate
Development
Manjari C. Bhatia is responsible for corporate development at Alibris,
furthering the company’s growth through anticipated mergers and
acquisitions. Prior to joining Alibris, she was a director at IAC/
InterActiveCorp, where she focused on strategy, M&A, and business
development, and worked with flagship companies such as Citysearch and Evite.
She also managed private equity investments at Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst
and focused on leveraged finance and sponsor coverage at Credit Suisse First
Boston.
Richard Hewitt Enlisted as Corporate Controller
Richard Hewitt manages the day-to-day finance and accounting operations at
Alibris, helping to shoulder the financial management responsibilities inherent
in the company’s expansion goals. He has 13 years of experience in
financial and legal operations, and is a U.K. Chartered Accountant. Prior to
joining Alibris, Richard was the director of finance at Signatures Network, the
global leader in music merchandising, where he focused on financial planning,
royalty reporting, and audit engagements.
