Monsoon Commerce Appoints New Leadership to Drive Alibris Retail Growth

Adam Silverman, e-commerce veteran, to head up premier media e-commerce site and marketplace

EMERYVILLE, CA—December 7, 2011 — Monsoon Commerce, Inc., a leading provider of online marketplace and e-commerce solutions for merchants, today announced the appointment of Adam Silverman to the position of general manager of Alibris, including alibris.com and alibris.co.uk. As head of Alibris, Silverman is responsible for developing and executing strategic growth initiatives for a business recently ranked 123rd in the Internet Retailer Top 500.

Silverman joins a talented, growing executive team focused on building the multiple assets of the Monsoon Commerce offering, including the recently launched marketplace selling solution, Seller Connect.

At Musician's Friend, a division of Guitar Center, Silverman held the position of director of marketing and led the overall strategic brand and marketing direction for this Internet Retailer Top 50 business.
