Unmatched Selection of the Alibris Inventory Now Available Through YBP Marketplace

YBP Library Services introduces the YBP Marketplace, a new service for libraries to easily acquire out-of- print and out-of-stock titles from the Alibris inventory through GOBI³

EMERYVILLE, CA—March 18, 2013— Alibris, a division of Monsoon Commerce and the premier online marketplace for new and used books, textbooks, music, and movies, announced today a new service available through its partnership with YBP, a Baker & Taylor company and the leading bookseller to research libraries. This service allows libraries to locate and acquire their own copies of out-of-print and out-of-stock books through GOBI³, YBP's acquisition and collection development interface.

Through YBP Marketplace, libraries can see, in real time, current stock and condition information for hard-to-find titles from more than 14,000 online independent booksellers. It's a fast and convenient way for libraries to purchase the titles needed for their patrons - all within their existing GOBI³ workflow. Titles ordered through YBP Marketplace are invoiced by YBP and shipped from Alibris.
