The Seattle quintet is dreary to say the least, blending post-punk with a gothic atmosphere. Quirk can obviously be compared to Placebo's Brian Molko, though he's more tragic than romantic, with lyrics that regularly suggest death, war, and just overall disorientation. In "A Curse On You, Dear," for example, he proclaims that "we are just a dust adrift in the waves and we cannot adjust what we need."
