The plates to this work are taken from Home's original paintings of the Yorkshire area. With a frontispeice, a further nineteen coloured plates and a folding map to the rear. Collated, complete. Home first worked for 'The Tatler' before becoming a commissioned illustrator for the publishers A and C Black. His works were frequently exhibited at the Royal Academy. With a prize bookplate to the front pastedown awarded by the 'City of Bradford School of Art' to Clara D Wright. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Light offsetting to the endpapers. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown, Matthew and Broke. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown, 'City of Bradford School of Art Prize' awarded to Clara D Wright. Light offsetting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound.
