Seller's Description:
Fair. Signed by author and numbered at #450. Hardbound book showing significant age and wear. Front endpapers are markedly age toned and friable, with small pieces detaching. Front board has been diagonally creased; this has also broken the front pastedown, which has been inexpertly glued in an attempt at repair. Top edge of text block is faded gilt. Pages remain surprisingly well bound; areas of toning are present here and there in the text. Wear and chipping present to either end of spine and to corners. Please reference our photo.

"Yesterdays" provides an informative and lively history of Brooklyn Heights from colonial times to 1927. While it is almost hagiographic in its description of the residents, it is still an invaluable treasure of information for the area. Much of that knowledge from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century is based upon first hand interviews and letters.
