There is a lighthouse you can visit that is 100 years old, and it just had its birthday! And the color green is abundant, as the mist and rain caress the island daily. In fact, Mount Wai?ale?ale (near the center of the island) is 5,148 feet (1,569 m) above sea level. And it is said to be one of the wettest spots on earth, with an annual average rainfall of a grand total of 460 inches! Yes, you can go to a luau and eat out and do all those sorts of things; but you can also go bird watching, see a rainbow in a blowhole, and just lie under an umbrella on the beach and soak up the sun. This is why they call this place paradise!
