Ginstermann machte Licht. Es war ihm, als sei noch eben jemand im Zimmer gewesen, als sei er jetzt noch nicht allein. Auf dem Tische lagen seine Manuskripte verstreut, wie er sie am Abend verlassen hatte, die Kleidungsst???cke auf den St???hlen, das Kissen auf der Ottomane in der gleichen Lage. Er blickte zum Fenster hinaus, in den dunklen Hof hinab, er ???bersah den Kram seines Zimmers, die Skizzen an den W???nden. Alles erschien ihm sonderbar, r???tselhaft, wie von einem Finger ber???hrt, der es ver???nderte. Drau???en klopften die Tropfen, und es schien, als ob sie eine seltsame Sprache redeten. Ein leiser Hauch drang durch die Vorh???nge, und auch der Hauch schien geheimnisvolle Worte mit sich zu f???hren. Wer spricht zu mir? dachte Ginstermann. Will mir diese Nacht alle Wunder der Welt und meiner Seele zeigen, um mich zu verwirren? Alles schwankt und f???llt, was eben noch feststand. Alle Begriffe sind verworren. Ist es nicht, als sei ich aus langem Schlafe erwacht, und folgten mir wunderbare Tr???ume in mein Erwachen?
