Mr. Griffin marshals the evidence that cancer is a deficiency disease - like scurvy or pellagra - aggravated by the lack of an essential food compound in our modern diet. That substance is vitamin B17. In its purified form developed for cancer therapy, it is known as Laetrile. This story is not approved by orthodox medicine. The FDA, the AMA, and The American Cancer Society have labeled it fraud and quackery. Yet the evidence is clear that here, at last, is the final answer to the cancer riddle. Why has orthodox medicine waged war against this non drug approach? The author contends that the answer is to be found, not in science, but in politics - and is based upon the hidden economic and power agenda of those who dominate the medical establishment. This is the most complete and authoritative treatise available on this topic.

This book will red-pill you ... like a tab ... of PHENOMENOL ... YEAHHHHHH!!"
I came to this book in a circuitous way. Some years back there was a Google engineer (Zach Vorhies) who leaked a black-list of search terms. "What's this?", I said to myself, "'Cures for CANCER'?! Now why would Google not want users to find cures for cancer?" Later, I came across this book and seized the opportunity to answer that question.
The author is a legend. He's a great futurist, always managing to talk about things years before they become relevant.
Remember vaccines vs. Autism? Glyphosates in wheat, for GMOs? Genetically engineered foods? What these have in common are institutional backing against public distrust. These are symptoms of the slow and painful institutionalization that's been happening to our sciences by big business. Even the science of COVID, we can all plainly see, suffers from the interference of industry.
Well, this book was written way before any of that, and it speaks to the institutionalization of science in the late 60s and 70s regarding cancer. It would appear, based on his writing, that the cure for cancer was too easy and cheap to be a source of arbitrage profits by the pharmaceutical industry, so based on a 'trust' between them, they decreed that cancer cures should come from oil- or petroleum-based medicines, or petro-based techniques. Before the decision evolved, some hot-shot scientists were actually claiming they saw in B17/amigdalyin a cure.
I'm no chemist. But as a reader, looking at the to and fro of science on more mundane issues, I have to concede that there are political or business interests mightily interfering with what I would call objective science. "Sugar is sugar." Coffe, salt, eggs, milk, cheese, poultry ... everything undergoes this insane tug of war. Don't forget 5G.
What a world this would be if we could talk objectively about the author's research, because he makes a very compelling case. I personally do take kernel oil, in small quantities, and I feel better, but I don't have cancer and never did. I take it as a vitamin, which is how it is presented in this book. I would imagine if you took too much, you would probably not feel great. It causes a sort of internal warmth that could almost be a burning sensation.
I highly recommend this book, if only to cause the reader to rethink his relationship to modern medicine.
