Great story, terrible ending
I really enjoyed reading this book, all the way to the end, and then was left thinking, "Kunstler must have gotten bored or tired or something." He creates an amazing world, and a great story, then leaves you completely dissatisfied. I'd still recommend it for the first 90% of the novel.

The author does an excellent job of depicting a future world forced into a simpler time. The characters and settings are richly imagined and the flow of the novel is quick. Although I was dissapointed by the end of the book, the majority of the story was throughly engaging and entertaining.
