Very Good in Good jacket. Ex-library copy with the usual stamps, stickers, etc. Binding is solid and text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Pocket has been removed from F.E.P. and bar code has been cut out of upper edge of same, dust jacket is covered in mylar jacket and taped to boards. Overall however book shows very little wear and is straight and clean. 95 pages with a great many color illustrations, many paintings, some photos in b&w. Chapters include Legislation governing the employment of children, Employment in the industrial and urban areas (broken down into the main industries: coal, lead, textiles (sub-broken) paper etc. ), Employment in agricultural and rural areas (broken down into herding, bird scaring, peat cutting, bark stripping etc. ), Employment in coastal and fishing areas (shelfish gathering, kelp gathering etc. ) Employment in the home.
