the story itself is fantastic!! it may not be about African Americans and Europeans enslaving them, but this book is two races that enslaves the other. In the book, you are branded as a child as being one that is enslaved. The main character is one of the enslaved and she learns how to unite everyone, and eventually become the highest person in the land, through her pureness. It is a good lesson we can all learn... Also an easy read.

Winter of Fire
Very good book by Sherryl Jordan! Her attention to detail paints beautiful word pictures that can almost be lived, smelled, and tasted. If you are in need of escaping the world in which we live in at the present, I would suggest traveling back to a time when things were more than slightly different, in the book Winter of Fire.
