Local photographer Franklin B. Jones Jr., born just one year after the founding of the Twin City, spent a lifetime recording the day-to-day events of his hometown. Photographing breaking news stories and human interest features for the Winston-Salem Journal and Twin City Sentinel newspapers, Jones captured on film the people and events that defined and shaped the city's history from the late 1930s to the early 1970s.
