Thank you very much to the author for sharing the story of his family. This book is part of the saga of his grandparents and parents that tells us volumns about the lives of people who are our neighbors to the south in Mexico and our neighbors now in the USA, too. I have been curious enough about immigrants from the south to visit latin america and see for myself why there are so many in this country. Villasenor's books offer a rich perspective of their not so distant history and insight into their view of the world that I appreciate having when interacting with our latin neighbors. He is a great storyteller, too. He has a lot to tell and his books are exciting pageturners.
