English summary: How did the Viennese live in the 15th century? Starting from a tax list from the Widmerviertel between Judenplatz, Karntnerstraae and Hofburg from 1448, this question is examined in detail for the first time. By evaluating other written and archaeological sources, the living conditions in Vienna within the city and in the suburbs can be described in great detail. Many details that shaped life in a late medieval city are revealed. Citizens with property had taken over the houses of the murdered Jews after 1421. There were bourgeois palaces on the elegant streets, in which even the Duke invited people to dance. In the suburbs, however, the houses were narrow, small, and made of wood. Families lived for rent everywhere in the city, especially in the spacious houses in the city center. All that remains of the medieval buildings are hidden remains. But if you carefully study these remains, you can learn a lot about Viennese life in the 15th century. German description: Wie lebten die Wiener im 15. Jahrhundert? Jahrhundert.
