Die evangelische Theologin arbeitete als Pfarrerin in der Gemeinde und später im Schuldienst, bevor sie von Willigis Jäger, Kyo-un Roshi im Jahr 2000 als Zen Meisterin autorisiert wurde. Sie gehört außerdem zur Sanbo-Kyodan Schule in Tokio. Doris Zölls ist verheiratet und hat drei Kinder. Christof Zirkelbach, geb. 1963, ist Künstler und Koch. Er hat in großen Häusern gekocht und leitet seit 2003 die Küche im Benediktushof. Ursula Richard, geb. 1955, war viele Jahre lang Programmleiterin eines spirituellen Verlags. Gründerin der „Literaturmanufaktur“ zur Vermittlung und Betreuung von spirituellen Büchern. Sie ist Übersetzerin, Herausgeberin, Lektorin und Buchautorin.
