John Donahue's treatise, "Who's who in the western fiction of Zane Grey" [...]was a monumental undertaking by some one who obviously loves Zane Grey. And Mr. Donahue is to be congratulated on such a fine work. I know many hard-core Zane Grey fans will love it, as the book gives an indepth characterization of the main characters in each of the novels, and how they compare to other heros and heroines. However, there are several inaccuracies, particularly typographical errors. Perhaps the most glaring are the spelling of Loren Grey as 'Lorne' and the name Bostil as 'Bostril'--I even doublechecked my copes of Wildfire and The Horses of Bostil's Ford to be sure myself. Personally, I wish Mr. Donahue would have included the non-westerns as well, and more of the short stories, as there are many omissions. Otherwise, if you are looking for a character in any particular Zane Grey western novel, this book will certainly locate them for you. I'd rate this book 4 out of 5 stars; it's well worth the price.
