Here I am Lord. Send me! (Isaiah 6:8) God cares for all His people. He desires to reach them all with His love, to draw them back to safety and the hope that is found only in Him. God is worthy of honour, praise and worship and His message to the world is worthy of being heard by all He created, so that they turn away from the ways of this world and towards Him and a life in heaven for eternity. God's healing on earth, whether physically or emotionally is life-changing. Many have given testimony to this, yet many are still to experience it. Our Lord scours the earth for messengers to offer His truth, to speak His Words of life to those in need of healing and hope. He calls all of us as His disciples to spread His message of hope and love, but how many of us respond when He calls?By reading and meditating on the Scriptures and reflections written by Fr. Emmanuel Okami in his book, Whom Shall I Send?, we are afforded an opportunity for honest self-examination, practical learning and a deepening of our relationship with the Lord, which will allow the flames of our faith to be fanned, and our courage to be increased so that we are able to confidently and passionately evangelise the Word of God through our lives every day. So when the question "Whom shall I send?" is asked, I assure you that having read this book, you will now be willing to answer "Here I am Lord. Send me!"Lisa TimmsParishioner of Our Lady Of Peace Parish, Burnham, UK.
