Seller's Description:
Fine. With wit and irony, Khyentse urges readers to move beyond the superficial trappings of Buddhism--beyond the romance with beads, incense, or exotic robes--straight to the heart of what the Buddha taught. And after he explains what makes you not a Buddhist, he kindly explains what a Buddhist is. The author is one of the most creative and innovative young Tibetan lamas teaching today.

Excellent book. We wanted to use it as reading for our weekly meditation group, but the chapters were pitched at different levels of interest and experience, so we decided not to use it. Nonetheless, this is enjoyable to read. It's the dharma.

Excellent Overview of Buddhism
I very much enjoy this book; it explains much of Buddha history and understandings of the precepts of the religion and was very helpful in guiding me on my path. I very much recommend this book to anyone interested in Buddhism basics and those who are struggling with understanding its underlying principles
