Fine. 4to-over 9¾"-12" (CAD) Stated 1st printing, 2006. No markings, Fine. Wraps, 116pp, index, colour and B&W photos. This i a history of the Westwood Racing Circuit and the Sports Car Club of British Columbia. Westwood, the first purpose-built road racing circuit in Canada, was different from all of the others. It was a people place built, owned and operated by the racers themselves. This book tells the story of how the members of a club of enthusiasts (the Sports Car Club of British Columbia) acquired a site in the BC mountains, and with their families and friends and on a limited budget created what one expert described as one of the four best tracks in the world. The track ran just about any kind of racing that came along for cars, mortorcycles and karts, but was best known for its spectacular races for smaller formula cars, Formula Atlantic in particular. The SCCBC effectively operated the track for 32 spectacular seasons until the growth of Greater Vancouver finally overwhelmed it. (2.2 JM HOZ 402/4.
