A fun, interesting read.
Werewolf's Tale is a fun read that deserved better than the cheap mass market paperback and gory cover it received. Unfortunately, the book was published in the '80s when the public had little respect for horror, and it was given the same treatment as any pulp horror novel of its day. But the writing is much more interesting than the usual of the genre. Its real edge is the fact that Jaccoma tells his tale in the style of the 1930s when it takes place. A real pulp-style pot boiler written with great care, in the same way that Raiders of the Lost Ark was so much like, but so much more than, the 30s serials it saluted.
