Featuring numerous black and white illustrations throughout, with a folding map to the rear of the text. Detailing the fascinating 'wanderings on foot' by the notable writer and traveller Edward Harrison Barker, from Auvergne to the Bay of Biscay in France. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with gilt detail to the front board and spines, and gilded top page edge. Externally, excellent. Minor shelfwear to extremities and head and tail of spine. Slight fading to spine and upper extremity of front board. Front hinge strained, but relatively firm. Internally firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean throughout, very slightly age toned to edges. very light scattered spotting to first and last few pages. Light scattered spotting to folding map to rear of text. Very Good Indeed.
