Why have we allowed the church to put God in a straight jacket? How much more expansive and encompassing is the real deity? Did Jesus save a race in Orion's belt or travel to Andromeda? Did he preach equality among the sexes and embrace spiritual doubt, just as most Christians embrace blind certainty? Did he speak of a Heavenly father AND mother? This story relates one possibility. Those who believe it is blasphemy to question a single word, thought or parable in the Bible may find it disturbing. All others may draw inspiration from this story and imagine their own, wondrous tales about God.
