I felt as if I was making the hike right along with the author and her husband. As a non-hiker, I was surprised at how close the trail came to familiar sites in The Land. Her personal feelings as well as the spiritual nuggets she gleaned were very insightful, too. Probably my favorite book of 2011 and I've read a bunch!
