Unser derzeitiges Verst???ndnis der Parodontalheilung basiert auf einer Hypothese von Melcher, der vorschlug, dass der Zelltyp, der die freiliegende Wurzeloberfl???che an der parodontalen Reparaturstelle neu besiedelt, die Art des Attachments bzw. der Reparatur bestimmt, die stattfindet. Wenn mesenchymale Zellen aus dem parodontalen Ligament/perivaskul???ren Bereich des Knochens proliferieren und die Wurzeloberfl???che besiedeln, findet eine Regeneration statt. Wachstumsfaktoren sind nat???rliche Zellprodukte, die freigesetzt oder aktiviert werden, wenn eine Zellteilung erforderlich ist. Dies geschieht typischerweise bei Ereignissen wie der Wundheilung oder der Geweberegeneration. Aktivierte Blutpl???ttchen an den Wundr???ndern und Zellen in der N???he der verletzten Stelle werden innerhalb weniger Stunden nach der Verletzung zur Freisetzung von Wachstumsfaktoren angeregt.
