L???nder - Neuzeit, Absolutismus, Industrialisierung, Note: 1,7, FernUniversit???t Hagen (Historisches Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit schildert die Voraussetzungen, die Vorbereitung und die Durchf???hrung der Sibirien-Expedition von Peter Simon Pallas sowie die Geschichte ihrer wissenschaftlichen Auswertung im Zeichen der systematischen Erforschung Sibiriens nach 1800. Dazu sollen zun???chst zwei Sibirien-Expeditionen, die als direkte Vorl???ufer der hier im Mittelpunkt stehenden "Pallas-Expedition" angesehen werden k???nnen, n???her betrachtet werden, vor allem in Bezug auf ihre Organisation und den Verbleib beziehungsweise die Ver???ffentlichung des durch sie gewonnenen Wissens. Danach werden der Naturforscher Peter Simon Pallas (1741 - 1811) vorgestellt und die Rahmenbedingungen seines wissenschaftlichen Wirkens innerhalb der Russischen Akademie der Wissenschaften skizziert. Im Hauptteil der Arbeit geht es dann um die Expedition, die Pallas von 1768 bis 1774 im Auftrag der Akademie durchf???hrte. Es geht dabei weniger um die tats???chlich durch die Expedition gewonnenen Erkenntnisse, als darum, unter welchen Bedingungen institutioneller und organisatorischer Art sie gewonnen, aufbereitet und weiterkommuniziert wurden. Vorab noch zwei Anmerkungen zu Daten und Namen: Die Datumsangaben zur Expedition, die im Zusammenhang dieser Arbeit haupts???chlich in ihren relativen Bez???gen, z.B. bei der Dauer von Planungsvorg???ngen, interessieren, folgen (wo nicht anders angegeben) dem in Russland bis 1917 verwendeten Julianischen Kalender. Auf eine Angabe der entsprechenden gregorianischen Datumsangaben (f???r das 18. Jahrhundert elf Tage sp???ter) wurde der Einfachheit halber verzichtet. Bei der Schreibung der russischen Personen- und Ortsnamen, die in der Fachliteratur v???llig uneinheitlich ist, wurde hier eine zum einen im Deutschen gut lesbare Schreibweise gew???hlt, die zum anderen der russischen Aussprach
