Very Good in Very Good jacket. 8vo-over 7¾-9¾" tall. pp. 219. Made into a comic film in 1969 starring Jonathan Winters, Peter Ustinov and John Astin. Jonathan Winters signed the title page of this copy. On the reverse of that page Dial Coach Bob Hoffman inscribed, "To Russ, 8 wild, wonderful weeks-Thank you". On the front paste down paper is an inscription by Script Supervisor Marge Mullen, "Russ-thanks for all the help! " The book's author Jim Lehrer, was a Dallas journalist and became nationally known for his work for 36 years first with' PBS McNeil/Lehrer Report and then the Newshour with Jim Lehrer'. This was the first of several books he wrote. Front end papers are missing, and title page has previous owner's name debossed stamp impression. Green cloth boards have some light wear on edges and spine ends. Clean interior. Exterior forward page edge has a few light spots. dust jacket has price intact. Some damp staining with some wear on front flap fold. A few small closed tears and spine ends have light chipping/fraying.
