PIAN DE' GIULLARI The Villa Pazzi, on top of the hill just above Pian de' Giullari, dates back to the latter part of the twelfth century, although, of course, not in the form in which it now appears. It has been altered and added to at various periods in the course of its long history. So far as we can judge from the testimony of the records and the witness of the fabric itself, the house assumed substantially its present aspect some time during the fifteenth century. In the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries the estate belonged to the Bonaccorsi. In the fifteenth century it had come into the possession of a certain Bartolommeo di Giorgio. From his heirs it went later to Francesco di Antonio, whose widow, Lucrezia, daughter of Tommaso Petrucci, came into actual possession of the villa in 1528, when she had already married a second husband, Michele Del Cittadino. From the Cittadini the estate went to the family of Delia Vacchia who attached their name to the place and seem to have made various enlargements.
